  1. Shemot 30:1

    וְעָשִׂיתָ מִזְבֵּחַ מִקְטַר קְטֹרֶת עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתוֹ

    And make an altar for burning incense, of acacia wood shall you make it.

  2. Shemot 30:2

    אַמָּה אָרְכּוֹ וְאַמָּה רָחְבּוֹ רָבוּעַ יִהְיֶה וְאַמָּתַיִם קֹמָתוֹ מִמֶּנּוּ קַרְנֹתָיו

    . . .

    Its length a cubit, and its breadth a cubitand let it be squareand its height two cubits; its horns shall be from it.

  3. Shemot 30:3

    וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתוֹ זָהָב טָהוֹר אֶת-גַּגּוֹ וְאֶת-קִירֹתָיו סָבִיב--וְאֶת-קַרְנֹתָיו וְעָשִׂיתָ לּוֹ זֵר זָהָב סָבִיב

    . . . .

    And overlay it with pure goldits top and its walls all around, and its hornsand make for it a rim of gold all around.

  4. Shemot 30:4

    וּשְׁתֵּי טַבְּעֹת זָהָב תַּעֲשֶׂה-לּוֹ מִתַּחַת לְזֵרוֹ עַל שְׁתֵּי צַלְעֹתָיו--תַּעֲשֶׂה עַל-שְׁנֵי צִדָּיו וְהָיָה לְבָתִּים לְבַדִּים לָשֵׂאת אֹתוֹ בָּהֵמָּה

    . . . . .

    And two rings of gold shall you make for it below its rim, on its two sides — thus on both its sidesthey shall be places for the poles, by which it is carried.

  5. Shemot 30:5

    וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת-הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וְצִפִּיתָ אֹתָם זָהָב

    .

    And make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.

  6. Shemot 30:6

    וְנָתַתָּה אֹתוֹ לִפְנֵי הַפָּרֹכֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל-אֲרֹן הָעֵדֻת--לִפְנֵי הַכַּפֹּרֶת אֲשֶׁר עַל-הָעֵדֻת אֲשֶׁר אִוָּעֵד לְךָ שָׁמָּה

    . . .

    And set it before the curtain that is upon the ark of the testimony, before the cover that is upon the testimony, where I shall present Myself to you there.

  7. Shemot 30:7

    וְהִקְטִיר עָלָיו אַהֲרֹן קְטֹרֶת סַמִּים בַּבֹּקֶר בַּבֹּקֶר בְּהֵיטִיבוֹ אֶת-הַנֵּרֹת--יַקְטִירֶנָּה

    . .

    And Aaron shall burn incense upon it — from the incense of resinsevery morning; when he tends the lamp, he shall burn incense with it.

  8. Shemot 30:8

    וּבְהַעֲלֹת אַהֲרֹן אֶת-הַנֵּרֹת בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם יַקְטִירֶנָּה--קְטֹרֶת תָּמִיד לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם

    . . .

    And likewise when he lights the lamp between the two times of sunset, he shall burn incense with ita continual burning of incense before God, for your generations.

  9. Shemot 30:9

    לֹא-תַעֲלוּ עָלָיו קְטֹרֶת זָרָה וְעֹלָה וּמִנְחָה וְנֵסֶךְ לֹא תִסְּכוּ עָלָיו

    . .

    You shall not burn upon it any strange incense, nor a burnt-offering, nor a gift-offering; and a libation you shall not pour upon it.

  10. Shemot 30:10

    וְכִפֶּר אַהֲרֹן עַל-קַרְנֹתָיו אַחַת בַּשָּׁנָה מִדַּם חַטַּאת הַכִּפֻּרִים אַחַת בַּשָּׁנָה יְכַפֵּר עָלָיו לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם--קֹדֶשׁ-קָדָשִׁים הוּא לַיהוָה

    . . . .

    And Aaron shall seek atonement at its horns once a year, from the blood of the sacrifice of the Day of Atonement; once a year he shall seek atonement at it for your generationsit is of the choicest of holy things, belonging to God.

  11. Shemot 30:11

    וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר

    Then God spoke to Moses in speech.

  12. Shemot 30:12

    כִּי תִשָּׂא אֶת-רֹאשׁ בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל לִפְקֻדֵיהֶם וְנָתְנוּ אִישׁ כֹּפֶר נַפְשׁוֹ לַיהוָה בִּפְקֹד אֹתָם וְלֹא-יִהְיֶה בָהֶם נֶגֶף בִּפְקֹד אֹתָם

    . . .

    When you have tallied the total of the sons of Israel by their number, each man shall give a ransom for himself to God when you count them, so that no plague shall befall them at that time.

  13. Shemot 30:13

    זֶה יִתְּנוּ כָּל-הָעֹבֵר עַל-הַפְּקֻדִים--מַחֲצִית הַשֶּׁקֶל בְּשֶׁקֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ עֶשְׂרִים גֵּרָה הַשֶּׁקֶל--מַחֲצִית הַשֶּׁקֶל תְּרוּמָה לַיהוָה

    . . . .

    This is what every one who passes through the count shall give: half a mithqal, by the mithqal of the sanctuarytwenty daniqs to the mithqalhalf of it is a contribution to God.

  14. Shemot 30:14

    כֹּל הָעֹבֵר עַל-הַפְּקֻדִים מִבֶּן עֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה וָמָעְלָה--יִתֵּן תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה

    . .

    Every one who passes through the count, from twenty years of age and upward, shall give a contribution to God.

  15. Shemot 30:15

    הֶעָשִׁיר לֹא-יַרְבֶּה וְהַדַּל לֹא יַמְעִיט מִמַּחֲצִית הַשָּׁקֶל--לָתֵת אֶת-תְּרוּמַת יְהוָה לְכַפֵּר עַל-נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם

    . . . .

    The well-off shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than half a mithqalso give a contribution to God, and make atonement for yourselves.

  16. Shemot 30:16

    וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת-כֶּסֶף הַכִּפֻּרִים מֵאֵת בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנָתַתָּ אֹתוֹ עַל-עֲבֹדַת אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְהָיָה לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְזִכָּרוֹן לִפְנֵי יְהוָה לְכַפֵּר עַל-נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶם

    . . . .

    And take the silver of atonement from the sons of Israel, and direct it to the service of the tent of assembly; and it shall be for the sons of Israel a remembrance before God, and an atonement for yourselves.

  17. Shemot 30:17

    וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר

    Then God spoke to Moses in speech.

  18. Shemot 30:18

    וְעָשִׂיתָ כִּיּוֹר נְחֹשֶׁת וְכַנּוֹ נְחֹשֶׁת--לְרָחְצָה וְנָתַתָּ אֹתוֹ בֵּין-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וּבֵין הַמִּזְבֵּחַ וְנָתַתָּ שָׁמָּה מָיִם

    . . .

    And make a basin of copper, and its base of copper, for washing; and set it between the tent of assembly and the altar, and put water in it.

  19. Shemot 30:19

    וְרָחֲצוּ אַהֲרֹן וּבָנָיו מִמֶּנּוּ אֶת-יְדֵיהֶם וְאֶת-רַגְלֵיהֶם

    And Aaron and his sons shall wash from ittheir hands and their feet.

  20. Shemot 30:20

    בְּבֹאָם אֶל-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד יִרְחֲצוּ-מַיִם--וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ אוֹ בְגִשְׁתָּם אֶל-הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לְשָׁרֵת לְהַקְטִיר אִשֶּׁה לַיהוָה

    . . .

    Upon their entry into the tent of assembly, they shall wash with water and shall not perish; and upon their approach to the altar to draw near and burn an offering to God,

  21. Shemot 30:21

    וְרָחֲצוּ יְדֵיהֶם וְרַגְלֵיהֶם וְלֹא יָמֻתוּ וְהָיְתָה לָהֶם חָק-עוֹלָם לוֹ וּלְזַרְעוֹ לְדֹרֹתָם

    .

    they shall wash their hands and their feet and shall not perish. And this shall be for them an ordinance foreverfor him and his sons, for their generations.

  22. Shemot 30:22

    וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר

    Then God spoke to Moses in speech.

  23. Shemot 30:23

    וְאַתָּה קַח-לְךָ בְּשָׂמִים רֹאשׁ מָר-דְּרוֹר חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת וְקִנְּמָן-בֶּשֶׂם מַחֲצִיתוֹ חֲמִשִּׁים וּמָאתָיִם וּקְנֵה-בֹשֶׂם חֲמִשִּׁים וּמָאתָיִם

    . . .

    And you — take for yourself the choicest of spices: of pure musk, five hundred mithqals; and of fragrant aloeswood, half of it — two hundred and fifty mithqals; and of aromatic reed, two hundred and fifty;

  24. Shemot 30:24

    וְקִדָּה חֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת בְּשֶׁקֶל הַקֹּדֶשׁ וְשֶׁמֶן זַיִת הִין

    . .

    and of costus, five hundred mithqals, by the mithqal of the sanctuary; and of olive oil, a full qist.

  25. Shemot 30:25

    וְעָשִׂיתָ אֹתוֹ שֶׁמֶן מִשְׁחַת-קֹדֶשׁ--רֹקַח מִרְקַחַת מַעֲשֵׂה רֹקֵחַ שֶׁמֶן מִשְׁחַת-קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה

    . .

    And make of these the holy anointing oila perfumed blend, the craft of a perfumer; thus shall it be the holy anointing oil.

  26. Shemot 30:26

    וּמָשַׁחְתָּ בוֹ אֶת-אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד וְאֵת אֲרוֹן הָעֵדֻת

    And anoint with it the tent of assembly, and the ark of the testimony,

  27. Shemot 30:27

    וְאֶת-הַשֻּׁלְחָן וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו וְאֶת-הַמְּנֹרָה וְאֶת-כֵּלֶיהָ וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הַקְּטֹרֶת

    and the table and all its vessels, and the lampstand and its vessels, and the altar of incense,

  28. Shemot 30:28

    וְאֶת-מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה וְאֶת-כָּל-כֵּלָיו וְאֶת-הַכִּיֹּר וְאֶת-כַּנּוֹ

    and the altar of burnt-offering and all its vessels, and the basin and its base.

  29. Shemot 30:29

    וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם וְהָיוּ קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים כָּל-הַנֹּגֵעַ בָּהֶם יִקְדָּשׁ

    . .

    And consecrate them, that they may be Mine — of the choicest of holy things; whoever approaches them shall be consecrated.

  30. Shemot 30:30

    וְאֶת-אַהֲרֹן וְאֶת-בָּנָיו תִּמְשָׁח וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ אֹתָם לְכַהֵן לִי

    .

    And anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may serve as imāms for Me.

  31. Shemot 30:31

    וְאֶל-בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל תְּדַבֵּר לֵאמֹר שֶׁמֶן מִשְׁחַת-קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה זֶה לִי--לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם

    . .

    And instruct the sons of Israel, saying: this shall be for you the holy anointing oil, for your generations.

  32. Shemot 30:32

    עַל-בְּשַׂר אָדָם לֹא יִיסָךְ וּבְמַתְכֻּנְתּוֹ לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ כָּמֹהוּ קֹדֶשׁ הוּא קֹדֶשׁ יִהְיֶה לָכֶם

    . . .

    Upon the body of any person it shall not be applied; and in its composition you shall not make anything like itand as it is consecrated, so shall it be holy to you.

  33. Shemot 30:33

    אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר יִרְקַח כָּמֹהוּ וַאֲשֶׁר יִתֵּן מִמֶּנּוּ עַל-זָר--וְנִכְרַת מֵעַמָּיו

    . .

    Any person who perfumes himself with the like of it, or puts any of it upon a stranger, shall be cut off from his people.

  34. Shemot 30:34

    וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-מֹשֶׁה קַח-לְךָ סַמִּים נָטָף וּשְׁחֵלֶת וְחֶלְבְּנָה סַמִּים וּלְבֹנָה זַכָּה בַּד בְּבַד יִהְיֶה

    . . .

    And God said to Moses: 'Take for yourself resinsamong them: balsam-wood, fragrant nail-shells, and liquid storax — resins together with pure frankincense, in equal parts.

  35. Shemot 30:35

    וְעָשִׂיתָ אֹתָהּ קְטֹרֶת רֹקַח מַעֲשֵׂה רוֹקֵחַ מְמֻלָּח טָהוֹר קֹדֶשׁ

    And make of these an incense — a perfume, the craft of a perfumerfinely cut, pure, and consecrated.

  36. Shemot 30:36

    וְשָׁחַקְתָּ מִמֶּנָּה הָדֵק וְנָתַתָּה מִמֶּנָּה לִפְנֵי הָעֵדֻת בְּאֹהֶל מוֹעֵד אֲשֶׁר אִוָּעֵד לְךָ שָׁמָּה קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁים תִּהְיֶה לָכֶם

    . . .

    And you shall grind some of it fine, and place it beside the testimony in the tent of assembly, where I shall present Myself to you there; and it shall be for you of the choicest of holy things.

  37. Shemot 30:37

    וְהַקְּטֹרֶת אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה--בְּמַתְכֻּנְתָּהּ לֹא תַעֲשׂוּ לָכֶם קֹדֶשׁ תִּהְיֶה לְךָ לַיהוָה

    . . .

    And the incense which you makein its composition you shall not make any like it for yourselves; it shall be holy to you, just as it is for God.

  38. Shemot 30:38

    אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר-יַעֲשֶׂה כָמוֹהָ לְהָרִיחַ בָּהּ--וְנִכְרַת מֵעַמָּיו

    Any person who makes the like of it in order to perfume himself with it shall be cut off from his people.'
