  1. Devarim 16:1

    שָׁמוֹר אֶת-חֹדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב וְעָשִׂיתָ פֶּסַח לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ כִּי בְּחֹדֶשׁ הָאָבִיב הוֹצִיאֲךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ מִמִּצְרַיִם--לָיְלָה

    . . .

    And observe the month of the ripening grain, that you make in it a Passover to God your Lord, as He released you in it, to go forth from Egypt by night.

    וְזָבַחְתָּ פֶּסַח לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ צֹאן וּבָקָר בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִבְחַר יְהוָה לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם

    . .

    And slaughter the Passover to God your Lordfrom the flock, and with it from the cattlein the place which God shall choose, that He may let His light dwell therein.

    לֹא-תֹאכַל עָלָיו חָמֵץ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תֹּאכַל-עָלָיו מַצּוֹת לֶחֶם עֹנִי כִּי בְחִפָּזוֹן יָצָאתָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם--לְמַעַן תִּזְכֹּר אֶת-יוֹם צֵאתְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ

    . . .

    Do not eat leavened bread with it; rather, eat after it seven days unleavened breadthe food of the weakfor you went forth from Egypt in haste. And remember the day of your going forth from Egypt all the length of your time.

    וְלֹא-יֵרָאֶה לְךָ שְׂאֹר בְּכָל-גְּבֻלְךָ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים וְלֹא-יָלִין מִן-הַבָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר תִּזְבַּח בָּעֶרֶב בַּיּוֹם הָרִאשׁוֹן--לַבֹּקֶר

    . . . .

    And let no leaven be seen for you in all your territory seven days; and let none of the flesh which you slaughter in the evening remain until the morning of the first day.

    לֹא תוּכַל לִזְבֹּחַ אֶת-הַפָּסַח בְּאַחַד שְׁעָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ

    It is not permitted that you slaughter the Passover in any of your settlements which God your Lord is giving you.

    כִּי אִם-אֶל-הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ--שָׁם תִּזְבַּח אֶת-הַפֶּסַח בָּעָרֶב כְּבוֹא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ מוֹעֵד צֵאתְךָ מִמִּצְרָיִם

    . .

    But only in the place which God your Lord shall choose, that He may let His light dwell thereinthere you shall slaughter the Passover at the evening, before the setting of the sun; and that is at the season of your going forth from Egypt.

    וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ וְאָכַלְתָּ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בּוֹ וּפָנִיתָ בַבֹּקֶר וְהָלַכְתָּ לְאֹהָלֶיךָ

    . . .

    And cook it and eat it in that place which God your Lord shall choose; then turn away in the morning, and go to your dwelling.

  8. Devarim 16:8

    שֵׁשֶׁת יָמִים תֹּאכַל מַצּוֹת וּבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִי עֲצֶרֶת לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ--לֹא תַעֲשֶׂה מְלָאכָה

    . . .

    And eat after it unleavened bread six days; and on the seventh dayan abiding in the holiness of God your Lord; you shall do no work therein.

  9. Devarim 16:9

    שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעֹת תִּסְפָּר-לָךְ מֵהָחֵל חֶרְמֵשׁ בַּקָּמָה תָּחֵל לִסְפֹּר שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעוֹת

    And count seven weeks, from the time the sickle begins among the ears of grainbegin the count.

    וְעָשִׂיתָ חַג שָׁבֻעוֹת לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ--מִסַּת נִדְבַת יָדְךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּתֵּן כַּאֲשֶׁר יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ

    . . . .

    And make the festival of Weeks to God your Lord, according to the measure of what your hand attains and what you offer voluntarily, as God your Lord has provided for you.

  11. Devarim 16:11

    וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ--בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם

    And rejoice before Himyou, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite who is in your settlements, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow who are in your midstin the place which God your Lord shall choose, that He may let His light dwell therein.

  12. Devarim 16:12

    וְזָכַרְתָּ כִּי-עֶבֶד הָיִיתָ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְשָׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת-הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה

    And remember that you were a slave in Egypt, and observe these statutes and act by them.

  13. Devarim 16:13

    חַג הַסֻּכֹּת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְךָ שִׁבְעַת יָמִים בְּאָסְפְּךָ--מִגָּרְנְךָ וּמִיִּקְבֶךָ

    And make the festival of Booths seven days, at the time of your gathering your harvest from your sowing and your produce.

    וְשָׂמַחְתָּ בְּחַגֶּךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ

    And rejoice at this festival of yoursyou, and your son, and your daughter, and your manservant, and your maidservant, and the Levite, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow who are in your settlements.

    שִׁבְעַת יָמִים תָּחֹג לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר-יִבְחַר יְהוָה כִּי יְבָרֶכְךָ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכֹל תְּבוּאָתְךָ וּבְכֹל מַעֲשֵׂה יָדֶיךָ וְהָיִיתָ אַךְ שָׂמֵחַ

    . . . . .

    So shall you make pilgrimage seven days to God your Lord, in the place which He shall choose, so that God your Lord may bless you in all your harvest and the rest of what you put your hand to; and you shall be in wholly pure joy.

  16. Devarim 16:16

    שָׁלוֹשׁ פְּעָמִים בַּשָּׁנָה יֵרָאֶה כָל-זְכוּרְךָ אֶת-פְּנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחָר--בְּחַג הַמַּצּוֹת וּבְחַג הַשָּׁבֻעוֹת וּבְחַג הַסֻּכּוֹת וְלֹא יֵרָאֶה אֶת-פְּנֵי יְהוָה רֵיקָם

    . . . . .

    Three times in the year all your men shall appear before God your Lord in the place which He shall chooseat the pilgrimage of unleavened bread, and the pilgrimage of Weeks, and the pilgrimage of Booths; and they shall not appear before Me empty-handed.

  17. Devarim 16:17

    אִישׁ כְּמַתְּנַת יָדוֹ כְּבִרְכַּת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן-לָךְ

    But each man shall come according to what his hand attains, according to the provision of God your Lord which He has given you.

  18. Devarim 16:18

    שֹׁפְטִים וְשֹׁטְרִים תִּתֶּן-לְךָ בְּכָל-שְׁעָרֶיךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ לִשְׁבָטֶיךָ וְשָׁפְטוּ אֶת-הָעָם מִשְׁפַּט-צֶדֶק

    . . .

    And appoint for yourself judges and overseers in all your settlements which God your Lord gives to your tribes; and they shall judge among the people with a just judgment.

  19. Devarim 16:19

    לֹא-תַטֶּה מִשְׁפָּט לֹא תַכִּיר פָּנִים וְלֹא-תִקַּח שֹׁחַד--כִּי הַשֹּׁחַד יְעַוֵּר עֵינֵי חֲכָמִים וִיסַלֵּף דִּבְרֵי צַדִּיקִם

    Do not skew the judgment, and do not show partiality to persons, and do not take a bribefor the bribe blinds the eyes of the learned to the truth, and corrupts words that are just.

  20. Devarim 16:20

    צֶדֶק צֶדֶק תִּרְדֹּף--לְמַעַן תִּחְיֶה וְיָרַשְׁתָּ אֶת-הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר-יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לָךְ

    And pursue pure justice earnestly, so that you may live and possess the land which God your Lord is giving you.

  21. Devarim 16:21

    לֹא-תִטַּע לְךָ אֲשֵׁרָה כָּל-עֵץ אֵצֶל מִזְבַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ--אֲשֶׁר תַּעֲשֶׂה-לָּךְ

    And do not plant for yourself a tree-pole beside the altar of God your Lord which you shall make.

    וְלֹא-תָקִים לְךָ מַצֵּבָה אֲשֶׁר שָׂנֵא יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ
