- Devarim 30:1
. . . . .
And when all these things befall you — the blessings and the curses which I have recited aloud over you — take it to heart, that you are in the midst of all the nations to which God your Lord has driven you there.
- Devarim 30:2
. . .
Then return to God your Lord and accept His command — like all that I command you this day, you and your sons — with all your heart and all your soul.
- Devarim 30:3
. .
For God your Lord will return to you in mercy and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the peoples among whom He has scattered you there.
- Devarim 30:4
.
So that even one of yours who has been driven away, were he at the farthest reaches of the sky, God your Lord would gather your scattered ones from there and bring you forward.
- Devarim 30:5
. .
And God your Lord will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and He will deal well with you and make you more numerous than your fathers.
- Devarim 30:6
. . .
And God your Lord will open wide your heart and the heart of your offspring, for love of God your Lord, with all your heart and all your soul — that you may live.
- Devarim 30:7
. .
And God your Lord will bring down all this distress upon your enemies and upon those who hate you, who have been ferocious toward you.
- Devarim 30:8
. . .
And you shall return and accept the command of God, and do all His commandments which I command you this day.
- Devarim 30:10
. . . .
When you accept the command of God your Lord, and keep all His commandments and His statutes written in this book of the Torah — when you return to God your Lord with all your heart and all your soul.
- Devarim 30:11
. . .
And know that these commandments which I command you this day are not hidden from you, nor are they distant.
- Devarim 30:12
. . .
They are not in the sky, so that one might say: who shall ascend for us to the sky and bring them down to us, and make us hear them, that we may act by them?
- Devarim 30:13
. . .
Nor are they on that far side of the sea, so that one might say: who shall cross over for us to that far side of the sea and fetch them for us, and make us hear them, that we may act by them?
- Devarim 30:14
.
Rather, the matter is very near to you — it is possible for you, by your mouth and by your heart, to act by it.
- Devarim 30:15
. .
See — I have placed before you this day life and good, and death and evil.
- Devarim 30:16
. . . . .
In accordance with what I command you this day: that you love God your Lord and walk in His ways, and keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances — so that you may live and multiply, and God your Lord may bless you in the land to which you are journeying to possess it.
- Devarim 30:17
. .
But if your heart turns away and you do not accept that, and you incline and bow down to other objects of worship and serve them —
- Devarim 30:18
. . . .
I declare to you this day that you shall surely perish, and your days shall not be long in the land to which you are crossing the Jordan to go, to possess it.
- Devarim 30:19
. . . .
And I have called to witness against you this day the sky and the earth: I have placed before you life and death, and blessings and curses — and it is my counsel to you that you choose life, so that you may live, you and your offspring.
- Devarim 30:20
. . . . . .
And that is by loving God your Lord, accepting His command, and cleaving to obedience of Him — for He is your life and the length of your days — by remaining in the land which God apportioned to your fathers, to Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, to give to them.
