  1. Devarim 34:1

    וַיַּעַל מֹשֶׁה מֵעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב אֶל-הַר נְבוֹ רֹאשׁ הַפִּסְגָּה אֲשֶׁר עַל-פְּנֵי יְרֵחוֹ וַיַּרְאֵהוּ יְהוָה אֶת-כָּל-הָאָרֶץ אֶת-הַגִּלְעָד עַד-דָּן

    . . . . . .

    Then Moses went up from the wilderness of Moab to Mount Nebo, the summit of the fortress, which is opposite Jericho; and God showed him all of Jericho, and God showed him all the land, from Jerash to Banias.

    וְאֵת כָּל-נַפְתָּלִי וְאֶת-אֶרֶץ אֶפְרַיִם וּמְנַשֶּׁה וְאֵת כָּל-אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה עַד הַיָּם הָאַחֲרוֹן

    And all the land of Naphtali, and Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Western Sea.

    וְאֶת-הַנֶּגֶב וְאֶת-הַכִּכָּר בִּקְעַת יְרֵחוֹ עִיר הַתְּמָרִים--עַד-צֹעַר

    And the south and the meadowsthe valley of Jericho, the town of palmsas far as Zoar.

    וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלָיו זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב לֵאמֹר לְזַרְעֲךָ אֶתְּנֶנָּה הֶרְאִיתִיךָ בְעֵינֶיךָ וְשָׁמָּה לֹא תַעֲבֹר

    . . . .

    And He said to him: 'This is the land which I swore to Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, saying: To your offspring I shall give it. I have shown it to you with your own eyesbut you shall not cross over to there.'

    וַיָּמָת שָׁם מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד-יְהוָה בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב--עַל-פִּי יְהוָה

    And Moses, the messenger of God, died in the land of Moab, according to the word of God.

    וַיִּקְבֹּר אֹתוֹ בַגַּי בְּאֶרֶץ מוֹאָב מוּל בֵּית פְּעוֹר וְלֹא-יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת-קְבֻרָתוֹ עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה

    And He buried him in the valley, in the land of Moab, in the vicinity of Beth-Peor; and no one has known the place of his grave to this day.

    וּמֹשֶׁה בֶּן-מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה--בְּמֹתוֹ לֹא-כָהֲתָה עֵינוֹ וְלֹא-נָס לֵחֹה

    And Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died; his eye had not grown dim, nor had his moisture departed.

    וַיִּבְכּוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת-מֹשֶׁה בְּעַרְבֹת מוֹאָב שְׁלֹשִׁים יוֹם וַיִּתְּמוּ יְמֵי בְכִי אֵבֶל מֹשֶׁה

    . .

    And the sons of Israel wept for Moses in the wilderness of Moab thirty days, until the days of mourning for him were completed.

    וִיהוֹשֻׁעַ בִּן-נוּן מָלֵא רוּחַ חָכְמָה--כִּי-סָמַךְ מֹשֶׁה אֶת-יָדָיו עָלָיו וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ אֵלָיו בְּנֵי-יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּעֲשׂוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת-מֹשֶׁה

    And Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom, since Moses had laid his hands upon him; and the sons of Israel accepted from him and acted accordingly, as God had commanded Moses.

    וְלֹא-קָם נָבִיא עוֹד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל כְּמֹשֶׁה אֲשֶׁר יְדָעוֹ יְהוָה פָּנִים אֶל-פָּנִים

    And there arose no prophet again in Israel like Mosesfor God had spoken with him directly, mouth to mouth.

    לְכָל-הָאֹתֹת וְהַמּוֹפְתִים אֲשֶׁר שְׁלָחוֹ יְהוָה לַעֲשׂוֹת בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם--לְפַרְעֹה וּלְכָל-עֲבָדָיו וּלְכָל-אַרְצוֹ

    .

    And for all the signs and the proofs which God sent him to perform in the land of Egyptagainst Pharaoh and against all his officers and against the rest of the people of his land

    וּלְכֹל הַיָּד הַחֲזָקָה וּלְכֹל הַמּוֹרָא הַגָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה מֹשֶׁה לְעֵינֵי כָּל-יִשְׂרָאֵל

    and for all the mighty hand, and for all the great terrors, which Moses wrought in the presence of all the house of Israel.
