    . . .

And when the produce comes in, you shall give the fifth to Pharaoh; and the four parts shall be yoursfor seed of the fields, and for food, and for those in your households, and for your little ones.'

  25. Bereshit 47:25

    . .

They said: 'You have kept us alive; we have found favor with my lord, and we shall be servants of Pharaoh.'

  26. Bereshit 47:26

    . . . .

And Joseph made it a statute to this day over the land of Egypt: that they should give the fifth to Pharaohexcept for the fields of the priests alone; those were theirs alone, and did not become Pharaoh's.

  27. Bereshit 47:27

    . . .

And when the time of Israel's death drew near, he called his son Joseph, and said to him: 'If I have found favor with you, place your hand under my covenant; and do me a kindness and a favorthat you shall not bury me in Egypt.

  30. Bereshit 47:30
