  1. Bereshit 8:1

    וַיִּזְכֹּר אֱלֹהִים אֶת-נֹחַ וְאֵת כָּל-הַחַיָּה וְאֶת-כָּל-הַבְּהֵמָה אֲשֶׁר אִתּוֹ בַּתֵּבָה וַיַּעֲבֵר אֱלֹהִים רוּחַ עַל-הָאָרֶץ וַיָּשֹׁכּוּ הַמָּיִם

    . . . .

    God remembered Noah, and all the wild creatures and the beasts who were with him in the ark; and God commanded a wind upon the earth, and by means of it the water grew still.

    וַיִּסָּכְרוּ מַעְיְנֹת תְּהוֹם וַאֲרֻבֹּת הַשָּׁמָיִם וַיִּכָּלֵא הַגֶּשֶׁם מִן-הַשָּׁמָיִם

    And the springs of the deep were stopped up, and the windows of the sky; and the rain was withheld from the sky.

    וַיָּשֻׁבוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ הָלוֹךְ וָשׁוֹב וַיַּחְסְרוּ הַמַּיִם--מִקְצֵה חֲמִשִּׁים וּמְאַת יוֹם

    And the water receded from upon the eartheach time time passed, it receded — and the water grew less after a hundred and fifty days.

    וַתָּנַח הַתֵּבָה בַּחֹדֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִי בְּשִׁבְעָה-עָשָׂר יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ עַל הָרֵי אֲרָרָט

    And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of it, upon the mountains of Qardu (Ararat).

    וְהַמַּיִם הָיוּ הָלוֹךְ וְחָסוֹר עַד הַחֹדֶשׁ הָעֲשִׂירִי בָּעֲשִׂירִי בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ נִרְאוּ רָאשֵׁי הֶהָרִים

    And the watereach time time passed, it grew lessuntil the tenth month; and on the first day of it, the heads of the mountains appeared.

    וַיְהִי מִקֵּץ אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וַיִּפְתַּח נֹחַ אֶת-חַלּוֹן הַתֵּבָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה

    And when forty days had passed, Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made.

    וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת-הָעֹרֵב וַיֵּצֵא יָצוֹא וָשׁוֹב עַד-יְבֹשֶׁת הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ

    And he sent forth the raven; and it kept going out and returning, until the water dried up from the face of the earth.

    וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת-הַיּוֹנָה מֵאִתּוֹ--לִרְאוֹת הֲקַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה

    Then he sent forth the dove from him, to see whether the water had abated from the face of the earth.

    וְלֹא-מָצְאָה הַיּוֹנָה מָנוֹחַ לְכַף-רַגְלָהּ וַתָּשָׁב אֵלָיו אֶל-הַתֵּבָה--כִּי-מַיִם עַל-פְּנֵי כָל-הָאָרֶץ וַיִּשְׁלַח יָדוֹ וַיִּקָּחֶהָ וַיָּבֵא אֹתָהּ אֵלָיו אֶל-הַתֵּבָה

    . . . .

    But the dove did not find a resting-place for its foot, and it returned to him, to the ark, for the water was upon all the face of the earth. So he put out his hand and took it, and brought it in to him, into the ark.

    וַיָּחֶל עוֹד שִׁבְעַת יָמִים אֲחֵרִים וַיֹּסֶף שַׁלַּח אֶת-הַיּוֹנָה מִן-הַתֵּבָה

    And he waited yet another seven days; and again he sent it forth from the ark.

  11. Bereshit 8:11

    וַתָּבֹא אֵלָיו הַיּוֹנָה לְעֵת עֶרֶב וְהִנֵּה עֲלֵה-זַיִת טָרָף בְּפִיהָ וַיֵּדַע נֹחַ כִּי-קַלּוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ

    . . .

    And it came to him at the time of evening; and behold, in its mouth was a plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water had abated from the earth.

    וַיִּיָּחֶל עוֹד שִׁבְעַת יָמִים אֲחֵרִים וַיְשַׁלַּח אֶת-הַיּוֹנָה וְלֹא-יָסְפָה שׁוּב-אֵלָיו עוֹד

    And he waited yet another seven days; then he sent it forth — and it did not return to him again.

    וַיְהִי בְּאַחַת וְשֵׁשׁ-מֵאוֹת שָׁנָה בָּרִאשׁוֹן בְּאֶחָד לַחֹדֶשׁ חָרְבוּ הַמַּיִם מֵעַל הָאָרֶץ וַיָּסַר נֹחַ אֶת-מִכְסֵה הַתֵּבָה וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה חָרְבוּ פְּנֵי הָאֲדָמָה

    And when it was in the year six hundred and one, on the first day of the first month, the water had dried up from upon the earth. And Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked — and behold, the face of the earth had dried.

  14. Bereshit 8:14

    וּבַחֹדֶשׁ הַשֵּׁנִי בְּשִׁבְעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים יוֹם לַחֹדֶשׁ--יָבְשָׁה הָאָרֶץ

    And in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of it, the earth had dried out.

    וַיְדַבֵּר אֱלֹהִים אֶל-נֹחַ לֵאמֹר

    צֵא מִן-הַתֵּבָה--אַתָּה וְאִשְׁתְּךָ וּבָנֶיךָ וּנְשֵׁי-בָנֶיךָ אִתָּךְ

    'Go out from the arkyou and your wife, and your sons and your sons' wives with you.

  17. Bereshit 8:17

    כָּל-הַחַיָּה אֲשֶׁר-אִתְּךָ מִכָּל-בָּשָׂר בָּעוֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָה וּבְכָל-הָרֶמֶשׂ הָרֹמֵשׂ עַל-הָאָרֶץ--הוצא (הַיְצֵא) אִתָּךְ וְשָׁרְצוּ בָאָרֶץ וּפָרוּ וְרָבוּ עַל-הָאָרֶץ

    . . . . . . .

    And all the wild creatures that are with you, of every corporeal beingof the bird, and of the beasts, and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earthbring them out with you, that they may breed in the earth, and bear fruit and multiply upon it.'

    וַיֵּצֵא-נֹחַ וּבָנָיו וְאִשְׁתּוֹ וּנְשֵׁי-בָנָיו אִתּוֹ

    And Noah went out, with his sons, and his wife and his sons' wives with him.

  19. Bereshit 8:19

    כָּל-הַחַיָּה כָּל-הָרֶמֶשׂ וְכָל-הָעוֹף כֹּל רוֹמֵשׂ עַל-הָאָרֶץ--לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיהֶם יָצְאוּ מִן-הַתֵּבָה

    And all the wild creatures and the creeping things and the bird, and the rest of what creeps upon the earth, according to their kindsthey went out from the ark.

  20. Bereshit 8:20

    וַיִּבֶן נֹחַ מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוָה וַיִּקַּח מִכֹּל הַבְּהֵמָה הַטְּהֹרָה וּמִכֹּל הָעוֹף הַטָּהוֹר וַיַּעַל עֹלֹת בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ

    . . .

    And Noah built an altar to God; and he took from some of the pure beasts and from some of the pure birds, and offered ascending offerings upon the altar.

  21. Bereshit 8:21

    וַיָּרַח יְהוָה אֶת-רֵיחַ הַנִּיחֹחַ וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל-לִבּוֹ לֹא-אֹסִף לְקַלֵּל עוֹד אֶת-הָאֲדָמָה בַּעֲבוּר הָאָדָם כִּי יֵצֶר לֵב הָאָדָם רַע מִנְּעֻרָיו וְלֹא-אֹסִף עוֹד לְהַכּוֹת אֶת-כָּל-חַי כַּאֲשֶׁר עָשִׂיתִי

    And God accepted the pleasing offering; and God said from Himself: 'I shall not again curse the earth on account of the humaneven though the inclination of the human's heart is wicked from his youth — and I shall not again strike down every living thing as I have done.

  22. Bereshit 8:22

    עֹד כָּל-יְמֵי הָאָרֶץ זֶרַע וְקָצִיר וְקֹר וָחֹם וְקַיִץ וָחֹרֶף וְיוֹם וָלַיְלָה--לֹא יִשְׁבֹּתוּ

    Always, throughout the lifetime of the earthseedtime and harvest, the cold and the heat, the summer and the autumn, the day and the nightshall not cease.'
